Ron, let me make a suggestion on the items you neeed to shoot the flinter, buy a flint lock starters kit form either Traditions or CVA. It will have most of all you will need to begin with as to cleaning jag, brush, pick, priming flask, and etc. As to ball, .440 for 45 caliber, .490 for 50 caliber, and .530 for 54 caliber (I forgot the caliber you bought) plus you can buy pre-greased )x-Yoke patches OR buy a yard of pillol tcking and some bore butter (a yard of pillow ticking will make all the patching you need for a long while, cut it into strips and roll a strip up to cut from as you load). As to teh possibles bag, while some used animal skins with heads, here in the east you would find mostly fine stitched possibles bags that actually looked a lot like small womens purses. Now out west in teh Mountain man days, they would have used hides as possible bags. Be careful that critter dous not come back to life on ya!
