Need some help to identify a rear peep sight, very important
Here are a couple of pictures of a rear peep sight on a J.C. higgens 22 model 10313 (same as a marlin 81) that has been in my family or a VERY long time. I am wanting some inserts for it, it has none so I need to know what type it is. I appreciate any info. 1. from side: > 2 from the rear:

I found out it is a Marlin #12 Tim. I have already ordered a aperturee for it off e-barf for $12 including shipping. That gun means a LOT to me, was my G-uncle Bills who was a WWII and Korea Vet. WWII did not phase hi as much but Korea made him a drunk. He was a flame thrower carrier/operater in Korea and had nightmares of all the bodies he saw burning that he set on fire. Said (told to me by my grand mother, his sister since uncle bill died in 56 before I was born) that they had bodies piles 10-15 feet high with waves of chinease troops attacking over top their own dead still. It was Uncle Bills job to light them all up, dead or alive. No wonder he became a drunk which caused his death (he supposedly fell, many said thrown, off a foot bridge that was 40 feet above the creek at their house in 56). Anyways, I can shoot the rifle well enough with the aperture to kill squirrels at 30 yards by using teh hole like a aperture. Joey cannot shoot it worth a shit, he talkied me into finding out what type sight and getting a smaller hole , the aperture, to see IF he could shoot it. Have no clue why, it is mine toill I die and them I might just give it to a grand kid. I am the oldest grand kid, bot grand parents dead, my uncle gave me the rifle after dad died stating being the oldest of the grand kids or g-grand kids as well, it should be mine that great uncle Bill would want it so. Do not forget to let me know on the low wall, was bidding on a german ss rifle.
