Was that Lonnie on his back?????
Actually the weld on the seat broke on that poor gentleman before he ever set up to take his shot. :D :D 8)
I have a 45 caliber rifle almost dentical in looks to the one the man dressed in buckskinning clothes is shooting. My other long rifles have different types of stocks as to color due to diffirent wood. Love a flint shoot. Love the smell of true BP and the wait to see IF you hit the mark or not. I see they are paper shooting, we do more traditional shooting like shooting at notches in slats, shooting at metal targets hanging from trees, and shooting at items like walnuts or other round items. We also do a drop hat shoot, that is where very shooter drops one ball in teh hat. A kid will draw a ball for the shooters from the hat and you must shoot that ball from your gun at a target. Fas-*test*-('") and most accurate win. Trouble is you might be shooting a 36 caliber while one shooter might be shooting a 75 caliber Bess! you could get the 75 caliber ball to make shoot in yoyur 36 caliber rifle. Seen many a man shaving lead to mak a ball fit! Fun to watch and compete in.
Gotta love black powder shooting.......... :D
Looks like ya'll had a great time
Dustin
You mean youins don't shoot offhand? what is that 25 yards????? Wheres the challenge in that?
Our BP shoots are shot at 25 or 50 yards, and shot off hand. That will show ya who really flinches. One night we had a guy shoot the light that illuminates that targets about 9 feet from his target.
still looks like a good time was had by all but one guy...
Gotta love black powder shooting.......... :D
