Powder Talk
I need the real pro's to help me with POSITION SENSITIVE POWDER How do you know it is and why would you use it? why do you need to add a filler wouldn't a different powder be better? Grits or cream of wheat is for breakfast isn't it? Does commercial loaded ammo use it? OK some say I am not the sharpest knife in the drawer and they be right  I have never had any problems with shot shell, pistol or rifle, I am hearing a lot of people talk about adding fillers and I just don't understand it all. Thanks for your input on this one. Ron

It is usually not a big a problem in a short pistol case as a rifle case. Where you really get in trouble is having so little powder that it doesn't cover the primer. I try to use powders that nearly fill the case. I load for some black powder guns that I load with smokeless powder. There are new powders out such as Trail Boss that are bulky and I can get good low pressure loads. I don't want to use fillers as you have to use a compressed load to keep it in place.
