Primer question
Have any of you every used a large Magnum primer as a substitute for a large rifle primer?
What was the effect on the round? the Case?
Have any of you used Magtech Primers?
It is to my understanding that the primer is hotter.
It's a common practice to use small rifle magnum primers in 223 although most would say it's not needed.
Ron I know the difference just was wondering if any one here had every done it. There are no Winchester Large rifle Primers to be found . Or at least I can't find anything but Megtech and don't know squat about them.
If anyone finds the WLR Primer please let me know by email or a PM. I am looking for at least 5,000 if the price is right I will take 10,000.

All I could find yesterday between a visit to Cabela's and a gun show was 200 Federal LR primers............ :-(
I will be on the lookout for primers next weekend.

Magtech Primers
Ive been using Magtech pistol primers on average 2,000 per week for just over two years now.I seem to remember having one missfire about 8 months ago.Could have been my fault,as I did get some case lube on a few loose primers.Kestral
