Primer situation
Are you guys still seeing a scarcity of primers and such? I was down to Daves Friday and he stocked up on a bunch, he said he didnt have a problem getting them. I noticed he stocked up on alot of components and ammo, he's no dummy, the prices are only gonna go up!!!

Tim around here there are fewer shops carrying reloading supplies and the prices are going up every couple of moths at least 12% or so. The shops mark up the stuff on the shelf when new stock comes in so on that stuff they are getting a 24% increase or better. Yes it is getting harder to find supplies and the prices are getting higher and we are also seeing less and less dealers with supplies at the gun shows. BUT I HAVE A GOOD STOCK PILE :lol: :lol: :lol: Dave would be proud of me :lol: :lol:

The only reason the shops are going up is because their distributors are. Stock up all the ammo makers and distributors are going up around 20% the first of Feburary Dustin

I also have a pretty good stock. I started building up my stock about 5 years ago. I have bought at gun shows when I could get a deal. I remember several years ago when large rifle primers were in short supply. I have been stocking up on lead bullets and I have started casting my own again. With the EPA regulations on lead, most of the local companies have gone out of business.

I need to buy some molds I have some but I am missing a couple they must be with Powder dispensers I still haven't found either of them :angry:

Peary part of the reason that Large Rifle are in short supply is that Federal messed up some 2,000,000 large rifle primers about 6 months back and they are still trying to recover Dustin

Fer years I have been buying my Primers at the Gun Shows, last 2 gun shows I went to, NO Primers

Federal did not mess up primers-they all went into loaded ammo for comercial and military
