Remington simi auto???
A friend bought a new 7600 Remington in 30-06 shot about 18 rounds in it and now it will not hit the primers, I don't know any thing about them, could the gas system be gummed up? he shot reloads in it.

Sure it isd not a 7400 Chuck? I was thinking the 7600 was the pump action/ IF the 7400, they had a problem with receivers and firing pins. Clean it really well and then see if the same thing. I had a 742 in 308 that teh head space would get off on it, the round would not go off, and the receiver had to be replaced. last time it did it I traded it to anotehr shop as IS. Told him what it did and he said he hasd a stack of parts for them. Have not owned anotehr remington auto centerfire rifle since.

Friend brought it over and the fireing pin was sticky, I put some hoppies in it and freeded it up, he took it to the range and it worked great. again thanks fer the info.
