S & W 645 assembly
I took mine apart, and ended up with a piece I don't know where it goes. I was taking the slide spring out when this piece went flying. It is a small black piece of hard plastic. 3/4" long and 3/8" wide. and about 3/16" thick. I can't find anything like it on the schematic.
Can you help me out??

I put the gun back together without the piece. It works just fine. goofs
I thought this piece fell out of the gun, guess it didn't. imwithstupid
Craig, is that the firing pin safety lever spring retainer, # 23 on the schematic?
It could be JJ. I'm not sure where it goes in.
Problem solved. I just sold the pistol today.
