S&W Model 4553
What can you tell me about this pistol?
It's a TSW, 7 shot, SS, with aluminum frame in new condition.
Reliable? prone to problems? and most important is $400 bucks a good price?
Is it the one in the .356TSW caliber? I don't know a whole lot, just
what 1 dealer said about it not working out because of the caliber.
If it is I know where there are 2 boxes of ammo.
It is one of S&Ws 45xx series Charlie. great guns, many are LEO trade ins, and very relible. Along the same lines as the 4506 only more compact. $400 is a fair price, many of those 45XX compacts are hitting the markets these days with the Glock LEO deal where Glock is furnishing a,mmo for their 45 GAP for 2 full years and giving LEO departments HUGE break in price on the Glock handguns. IF I was looking for agoog reliable 45, $400 and that hand gun are a decent match IMHO. I have a 4506 and a 645 which was the fore runner of the 45xx series. Both have never failed me.

The gun was a salesman's sample and has never been fired!!!!
With my police discount, the dealer will sell it to me for $400.00, with the box, extra magazine and papers. I really like the feel of it!!

IF un-fired, buy it IMHO.
