Smooth bore
I ordered one of those cheap .36 cal boot pistols from SOG. Should I use the same charge I use in my .36 revolvers? (15-20 gr of 777) Should I patch it? I can't see the need on a smooth bore Should have read JJ's post first. :D Bad news all the balls I have are .375

Should have read JJ's post first. Yup. :D 350 round ball, .010-.020 greased patches, and I used 15-20 grains of P pyrodex. I would have not problems using up to 30 grains or the pyrodex or 3F blackpowder. Aim high, or at least mine shot low but it might have been me not used to using a hand gun with NO sights. Once I got used to it, it was great. Also try some buck and ball loads, the .350 ball with some smaller balls on top. I used some #4 buck I had. Best parts is cleaning, barrel screws off and it is a snap to clean. One thing I did have a bit of trouble with was geting teh primer to go off first trigger pull, usually had to cock it and pull trigger 2 times each shot. Also I am going to dril out the nipple a bit as well as the hole throught the breech to the powder. IMHO is is a bit too small.

I know what I would try. I use to have an underhammer 36 pistol with a rifled barrel. I use to use 148 gr .358" HBWC bullets without a patch. The skirt seals the barrel and usually gives good accuracy.
