Looking for an inexspensive 30-06 maybe a used Handi- rifle or something along that line.

ron, i saw a remington 710 in 30-06 at the hwy 29 wally world yesterday with scope and i believe it said $250.00 on it. bhk308

Personally, I would stay away from the 710s. Some of the bolt parts were made in a small machine shop in Parius KY when they first came out (not for sure if they still make the parts there) and quality control was a HUGE problem. My son in law had one in 270, I got him to trade it off for a better rifle. The handi rifle is a betetr rifle than teh 710 IMHO.

The 710 is the worst rifle Remington ever made!
